Hello Fall....

It's that time of year, with pumpkin spice and everything spooky!

Ventura County is full of events and activities to enjoy during the month of October.  Whether you are looking to be frightened at one of the many haunted houses or wanting a "kid friendly" event, we have it all.  

Full Month of October

The award-winning Reign of Terror Haunted House features 8 interconnected fear-inducing attractions, 100 separate rooms to walk through and dozens of frightful characters.  Open for 13 nights at the Janas Marketplace in Thousand Oaks.

Underwood Family Farms Fall Festival happening now until October 31st.

October 12 & 13

Royal High School Drama Club is offering the Haunted Halls event from 7:00 pm-9:30 pm

 October 14

Saplings in Simi Valley is offering a Monster Bash Halloween Party for little ones from 10 am-1:00 pm.  Only $10 per child, includes monster cupcakes, Halloween crafts, costume contests, a take-home gift, and more. Bring your little one in their Halloween costume and get $2.00 off your admission.

October 21 - 22

Boo at the Zoo at the Santa Barbara Zoo.  The Zoo transforms for three nights of safe, traffic-free trick-­or-treating for monster-ous thrills and chills including a Trick-or-Treat Trail, Boo Choo Choo train rides, Creepy Crawly encounters, Spooky Storytelling, Goblin Games, and more. Event held Friday, October 20 thru Sunday, October 22.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest at Ventura Harbor Village. Bring your furry friend October 21 at noon for an exciting parade and costume contest.  Register now for a free pet-friendly fun event.

Halloween Spook-Tacular Family Fun Day at Simi Valley Library.  

Haunted House and Trick or Treat Trail at Westlake Village City Celebration.   The event will be held October 21 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  

Family Friendly "Lights On" at Reign of Terror Haunted House in Thousand Oaks, October 21 from 1 pm-4 pm.  

Calabasas Pumpkin Festival will be held October 21 and 22 from 10 am-5 pm.  From pie eating contests, pumpkin carving, parades and much more this a fantastic family event.

October 26

Trick or Treating at The Collections at RiverPark in Oxnard from 6 pm-8 pm.  

October 27

Simi Valley Town Center Spooky Town will be held October 27th from 5 pm-8:00 pm.

Fright Fest Night at Newbury Park Library is offering a free fun day of spooky movies to the public.

Malibu's Annual Halloween Carnival will be held at Malibu Bluffs Park from 3 pm-6 pm.  Admission is free and appropriate for children 2-10 years of age.

Family Game Night in Oak Park starts at 6 pm.

October 28

Trick or Treat at Ventura Harbor from 1 pm-3 pm. There will be face painters, activities, and stores handing out treats.

Thrill the World is a Michael Jackson flash mob that will take place at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks. The Cal Lutheran dance party begins at noon and includes on-site instruction, zombie makeup, refreshments with a small donation, and fun for the kids. The performance will take place at 3 pm.  

Halloween Haunt in the Park is located at Plaza Park downtown Oxnard.  The kid-friendly thrills occur all evening from 4-7:00 pm.   

Halloween Haunted Trail and Costume Contest at Thousand Oaks Community Park. The event starts at 6 pm and tickets must be purchased beforehand.  

"Shh or Treat" Halloween Event at Camarillo Library from 11 am-12 pm.  

4th Annual "Haunted Dinner, Magic, and Dancing" at the Bard Mansion from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. 

October 29

3rd Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival in Simi Valley. This festival from 2 pm- 7 pm will feature live music, performances, storytelling, craft vendors, crafts for all ages, face painting, food vendors and more.

Cornerstone Community Church hosting a "trunk or treat" from 5-7 pm.

Children's Halloween Concert at Thousand Oaks Civic Center.

October 31

12th Annual Halloween Carnival in Oak Park from 5:30-8 pm.

Haunted High Street Event in Moorpark from 5-8 pm. 

Halloween Carnival in Simi Valley at Santa Susana Community Center from 5:30-8 pm.  This event provides unlimited fun with a Trick or Treat Village, carnival games, inflatable bounce houses, slides, hayride, shadow dancing, photo booth, face painting and more.  Geared for youth up to 12 years of age and admission is $5, 2 years and younger are free.

Halloween Fun at the Promenade in Westlake from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Trick or Treating at the Pacific View Mall from 4-6 pm.  

Halloween Spooktacular Trick-or-Treating at Agoura Hils/Calabasas Community Center from 3:30-5:30 pm.



Whether you dance to Thriller by Michael Jackson, hop on a hayride at Underwood Farms or visit one of the many Carnivals Ventura County is offering, we hope you have a safe and fun Halloween!
